Job summary

HCA Florida Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (PRN) to plan and administer medically prescribed speech, language, cognitive, and oral motor therapies. You will evaluate, treat, and modify programs to improve patient outcomes in a hospital rehab setting.

The role requires an SLP with a Master’s degree, Florida licensure, CCC, BLS, and at least 1 year of direct patient rehab experience, plus strong communication and PC skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• State of Florida SLP licensure required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in direct patient rehab.
• CCC awarded by ASHA.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong critical thinking and interpersonal communication skills; able to read and follow instructions; proficient PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient condition, obtain history, and administer diagnostic tests for speech and language problems.
• Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans per hospital policies.
• Determine progress and when intervention is no longer warranted.
• Coordinate continuing services and refer to other professionals as needed.
