Job summary

Mercyhealth Wisconsin and Illinois is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and plan treatment for diverse patient diagnoses in a PRN role. The position covers the Winnebago and Rockford area with flexible scheduling and travel to other locations as needed.

The incumbent will document services electronically, collaborate with nursing and rehab teams, and contribute to performance improvement initiatives, while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited school of Speech Language Pathology
• Licensed to practice in WI and/or IL
• CCC from ASHA
• CPR/BLS within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluation/assessment using evidence-based standards to create an effective plan of care.
• Applies critical thinking and integrative treatment to improve the patient’s functional level.
• Maintains thorough documentation with proper coding and billing.
• Communicates with other disciplines and referring providers to enhance outcomes.
• Participates in cross-coverage traveling to Winnebago/Rockford locations.

Education

Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology

Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist (WI/IL)

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) ASHA

CPR/BLS certification
