Mercyhealth is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, plan, and implement effective treatment plans for diverse patient diagnoses in a PRN role. The candidate will document thoroughly, code and bill services, and coordinate with nursing, rehabilitation teams, and physicians.

Travel to cross-cover locations may be required. Required qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, WI/IL licensure (or both), CCC from ASHA, and CPR/BLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensed as a speech language pathologist in WI, IL or both.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • CPR/BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Performs evaluation / assessment using evidence-based standards to create an effective plan of care.
  • Maintains a thorough record of services provided with appropriate coding and billing.
  • Communicates with other disciplines and referring providers to enhance outcomes.
  • Participates in cost saving initiatives within the department.
  • Active participant in the Performance Improvement process.
  • Plans and conducts lectures and training programs on speech language pathology and related topics.
