Job summary

Wellstar Health Systems is seeking a flexible PRN Speech Language Pathologist to provide coverage for a minimum of two weekend days per month, with potential for additional weekday shifts. You will evaluate patients and develop speech/language plans of care across speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing in collaboration with physicians.

In this role you will document assessments and plans, educate patients and families, discharge and refer when appropriate, and adhere to regulatory

Qualifications

• Masters in Speech Pathology required.
• SLP certification required upon hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Treatment planning and provision of care.
• Implements the speech language therapy treatment plan.
• Selects appropriate treatment activities to progress patient towards goals.
• Revises goals/plan of care with patient/family input.
• Documents evaluation and plan of care following departmental guidelines.
• Provides discharge instructions and referrals as appropriate.
• Adheres to ethical standards and infection prevention precautions.
