Qualifikationen

• Current, active, and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the State of California — required
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program — required
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain per facility policy)
• Ongoing compliance with continuing education requirements established by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board
• Experience in a skilled nursing, post-acute, hospital, or related medical setting — strongly preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to exercise sound clinical judgment and lead by example
• Composure and professionalism in dynamic, fast-paced clinical environments
• Strong organizational skills, leadership ability, and capacity to make independent clinical decisions

Aufgaben

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language and swallowing evaluations per physician orders and California standards of practice
• Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia disorders
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized plans of care with measurable goals
• Provide skilled therapeutic interventions addressing communication, cognition, swallowing safety, and compensatory strategies
• Perform clinical swallowing evaluations and dysphagia management within scope of practice
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on objective findings
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve communication and swallowing outcomes
• Lead discharge planning and provide recommendations to support safe transitions of care
