Job summary

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is seeking a PRN Speech Language Therapist to provide diagnostic and rehabilitative services for patients with speech-language and swallowing disorders at our Georgetown campus.

You will perform evaluations, create treatment plans, educate patients and families, and document progress in line with department standards and Joint Commission regulations. This is a PRN, on-site role with a focus on acute care and rehabilitation settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in DC (SP-L) required.
• BLS certification required (or current).
• 1-2 years related clinical practice in acute care or rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct speech, language, and swallowing evaluations and re-evaluations with goal setting and discharge planning.
• Performs SLP treatments according to standards of practice with patient/family education.
• Maintains documentation per PM&R standards and coordinates scheduling with patient treatment needs.
• Collaborates with physicians, patients, families, and health care team for discharge planning and progress.
