Job summary

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. You will evaluate and treat patients following current speech-language pathology practices and applicable regulations, while aligning with Georgetown's policies and standards.

In this role, you will participate in evaluations, plan patient-centered therapy, and document progress. You will also supervise students, contribute to program development, and provide continuing education

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• DC license or eligibility for DC license required.
• CCC (ASHA) required or eligible.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts direct speech, language, and swallowing evaluations and re-evaluations with clear goals.
• Documents assessments and treatment plans per practice standards and regulations.
• Collaborates with physicians, patients, families, and health care team; participates in rounds and meetings.
• Supervises SLP students and rehab technicians; manages scheduling and prioritizes patient care.
• Contributes to program development and provides continuing education or in-services annually.

Education

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

DC license or eligible for DC license as a Speech Language Pathologist

Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC)

BLS (Basic Life Support)
