Job summary

Western Home Communities is seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our therapy team in Madrid, IA. The role involves providing services across outpatient, skilled nursing, and long-term care settings with a focus on functional, measurable outcomes for adults and geriatric patients.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, be licensed or eligible for licensure in Iowa, and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, along with

  • Masters’ Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid license or eligible for licensure to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Iowa.
  • High level communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Effective leadership and customer relationship skills.

Responsibilities

  • Participates directly in the evaluation, care plan development and delivery of treatment interventions and services related to swallowing disorders, dysphagia, and communication disorders.
  • Provides direct patient care to primarily adult and geriatric patients.
  • Provides screenings and evaluations to determine requirements for skilled speech therapy intervention relative to patient’s prior level of function.

Speech Language Pathologist – PRN (as-needed) | Madrid, IA

Madrid Home Communities is seeking a PRN**Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)** to join our therapy team on our Cedar Falls main campus. This unique position offers a variety of experiences, providing services across outpatient, skilled nursing, and long-term care settings.

As an SLP with us, you’ll play an important role in developing and implementing treatment plans that focus on functional, measurable outcomes for the individuals we serve. We’re looking for someone who brings a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a collaborative spirit to our team.

Requirements of a Speech Language Pathologist:
