Job summary

BJC Medical Group in Illinois is seeking a Registered Diagnostic Sonographer for a PRN role spanning Shiloh, Alton, and select locations in Missouri. You will perform abdominal, small parts, and obstetrical ultrasound imaging to support diagnosis and treatment.

The position requires RDMS or equivalent certification and an Associate or Trade School equivalency. Day shifts (8am–4:30pm) as needed, with on-call opportunities and independent study may be required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in ultrasound imaging with documentation.
• Ability to perform studies independently and on-call.
• RDMS certification or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment readiness and proper function; document procedures.
• Perform ultrasound imaging exams across adult/pediatric patients.
• May perform on-call, portable exams, and work at multiple sites as needed.

Role Purpose

The Registered Diagnostic Sonographer performs ultrasound imaging, including but not limited to abdominal, small parts, and obstetrical, to adult and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders, and assist with needle procedures (i.e., biopsies, drainages, needle placements, etc.). May also perform vascular imaging

Responsibilities

Ensures proper function and readiness of all equipment. Performs ultrasound imaging examinations and ensures proper documentation of procedures. Performs studies independently, may perform studies on-call, portable exams, and at other sites as required by work area.
