Reproductive Biology Associates - Sandy Springs seeks a qualified Sonographer to join as a PRN float, covering all locations in the Atlanta area. The role requires performing diagnostic ultrasounds with compassionate care while supporting physicians and the department.

Ideal candidates have an active Sonography certification, OB/GYN or fertility experience, and a current BLS credential. Weekend and holiday rotations are required, with flexible part-time hours and benefits associated with PRN

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, required.
• Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification required.
• 2 years OB/GYN or Fertility experience; first trimester screening strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and exam rooms for diagnostic ultrasound procedures by reviewing charts and prior studies.
• Set up and operate ultrasound equipment for fertility-related testing in accordance with protocols.
• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in a timely, compassionate manner.
• Input charges and verify documentation to ensure medical necessity and complete records.
• Communicate with physicians and staff to meet provider needs and ensure continuity of care.
• Notify ordering physician of abnormal findings before the patient leaves.
• Maintain exam room cleanliness and sanitize equipment; restock supplies.
• Support clinic operations, including weekend rotation as needed.

Description

We are seeking a qualified Sonographer to join our team in a PRN role as a float to cover all our locations. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasounds while supporting the needs of both our physicians and department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering accurate and compassionate care.

Hours will vary based on need, weekend and holiday rotation is required.

Job Duties:

• Prepare patients and exam rooms for diagnostic ultrasound procedures by reviewing patient charts, previous studies, and pertinent clinical information to ensure accurate and efficient care delivery.


• Set up and operate ultrasound equipment for fertility-related diagnostic testing while maintaining compliance with clinic protocols, accreditation standards, and safety guidelines.


• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in a timely and compassionate manner while ensuring patient comfort and professionalism throughout the visit.


• Accurately input charges and verify documentation to ensure medical necessity requirements are met and all records are complete and compliant.


• Communicate effectively with physicians and clinical staff to ensure provider needs are met, improve resource utilization, and support continuity of patient care.


• Assess imaging results for the need for additional follow-up studies and promptly notify the ordering physician of any abnormal findings before the patient leaves the office.


• Deliver superior customer service by greeting patients warmly, confirming patient identity using name and date of birth, and creating a positive patient experience for both patients and providers.


• Maintain exam room cleanliness and organization by cleaning and sanitizing imaging equipment, stocking linens and supplies, and ensuring rooms remain neat, fully prepared, and patient-ready.


• Ensure all imaging equipment receives appropriate preventative maintenance and confirm protocols, procedures, and quality standards remain current for accreditation purposes.


• Support overall clinic operations and the team by assisting with additional duties as needed, participating in a required weekend rotation one weekend per month, and contributing to quality patient care and team collaboration.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED, required


• Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with valid sonography certification required


• 2 years experience in OB/GYN or Fertility practice andCertified in first trimester screening strongly preferred


• Current BLS certification required
