Job summary

Peninsula Post Acute in Burlingame, CA is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in‑house rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. You will evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, and swallowing disorders, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maximize quality of life.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Current California SLP license required.
• CCC-SLP preferred; CFYs encouraged to apply.
• Strong organizational, communication, and clinical skills.
• Passion for utilizing innovative technology to improve resident outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive‑communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive clinical evaluations.
• Perform clinical swallowing evaluations and implement evidence‑based dysphagia management strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, dietitians, therapists, residents, and families to support optimal functional outcomes.
• Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on communication strategies, swallowing precautions, and home programs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and quality improvement initiatives.
