Job summary

Mercy Health in Warren, Ohio, is seeking a PRN Registered Polysomnography Technician to support the Sleep Center. The role involves comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including polysomnography, scoring, and patient education, under supervision of Sleep Center leadership.

Qualified candidates hold an RPSGT or RST certification, or SDS credential if RT, with a high school diploma and at least one year of neurophysiology or sleep disorders experience.

Qualifications

• BLS Basic Life Support preferred and required before patient care
• Polysomnography state licensure preferred depending on state of practice
• Must have one of: RPSGT, RST, or SDS credential if RT
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least 1 year experience in neurophysiology or sleep disorders preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, explain procedures, review clinical data, and operate polysomnographic equipment to obtain diagnostic recordings.
• Document detailed technical reports and review studies with physicians for discrepancies.
• Administer neurodiagnostic procedures following established protocols and maintain equipment and work area.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and assist with general office tasks.
• Maintain continuing education requirements to stay current in the field.
• Perform sleep staging and event scoring per AASM guidelines; participate in QA as needed.
• Troubleshoot polysomnographic and office equipment.
