Job summary

Pleasant Hope R-6 School District is seeking a Substitute Nurse (RN or LPN) to join the district’s health team. The role requires a valid nursing license and CPR certification, with duties focused on keeping students healthy and in school.

The position is PRN/part-time and reports to the building nurse and district administration. Responsibilities include medication administration, vital signs, first aid, and health-related classroom support across PK-12.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered nursing license for Missouri or compact state.
• A valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Care for PK-12 students under direction of the building nurse.
• Administer medications as required.
• Take vital signs and monitor student health.
• Provide hygiene care and support.
• Address mental health concerns.
• Observe behavior and support well-being.
• Provide first aid and emergency management.
• Communicate with school staff and parents about student health.
• Record charting on paper or in an Electronic Health Record.
• May require travel between district buildings.
