Job description

Position Overview

Curant Health, a leader in patient‑centric chronic disease management via specialty pharmacy, is seeking a Pharmacist to join its team in Wichita, Kansas. Personalize healthcare driven by choice and defined by value. The pharmacist will manage the prescription fulfillment process and serve as a link between patients, physicians, and the pharmacy.

Responsibilities
  • Daily completion of all activities related to dispensing prescriptions, including ordering, receiving, filling, dispensing, logging and loss‑prevention controls, following standard operating procedures and applicable laws.
  • Verify each prescription is accurately filled with the correct medication, dosage, and quantity.
  • Oversee supportive personnel, perform dispensing of medications, handle prescription transfers, conduct drug interaction reviews and drug utilization reviews.
  • Manage proper handling, usage, storage and shipping of drugs in the pharmacy.
  • Translate departmental standards, policies and procedures into daily pharmacy operations.
  • Serve as an information resource to patients, physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy and drug‑related information.
  • Promote collaboration, teamwork and mutual respect through effective communication and positive working relationships.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and/or advanced degree in pharmacy.
  • Minimum of three years of pharmacy experience.
  • Licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Kansas.
  • Strong staff and patient relationship skills.
  • Strong professional and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
