Job summary

MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a licensed pharmacist in Kansas to join a dedicated Midwest healthcare team. You will compound and distribute medications, collaborate with clinical teams, and ensure optimal patient outcomes through appropriate pharmaceutical use.

The role requires a Kansas license and hospital pharmacy experience is preferred. Strong communication and compliance with PHI/privacy standards are essential.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Current pharmacist license valid in the state of Kansas.
  • BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross preferred within 30 days of hire or by end of orientation.
  • Hospital pharmacy experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in pharmaceutical care for patients from newborns to geriatrics.
  • Provide drug information upon request and document clinical interventions.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and verify medication accuracy before dispensing.
  • Complete, review, and sign required legal and policy paperwork.
  • Engage in staff training and professional development activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sterility of the pharmacy, equipment, and storeroom.
  • Manage daily supply orders as needed.
  • Adhere to privacy and security regulations concerning PHI.
  • Foster effective communication with patients and healthcare teams.

Job description

Education and Experience

Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.

Licenses and Certifications

Current pharmacist license valid in the state of Kansas. Preferred to have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a hospital pharmacy environment is highly desirable.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Understanding of federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong communication skills.
Physical Requirements

Light work involving occasional exertion up to 25 lbs and frequent exertion up to 10 lbs. Standing or walking may be required 11-25% of the workday.
