Job summary

Universal Health Services, Temple, Texas, is seeking a PRN House Supervisor (RN) to oversee facility operations during assigned shifts. The role includes supervising nursing and clinical staff to ensure timely, accurate patient care for patients from adolescents to geriatrics.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of psychiatric care experience, an active TX RN license (or multi-state compact), and certifications in CPR, Handle with Care, and Service Excellence.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum one year of related experience in psychiatric patient care.
• Licensure: Active RN license in TX or multi-state compact.
• Additional Requirements: Handle with Care, Service Excellence Training, CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for complete facility operations during the assigned shift.
• Supervises nursing and clinical staff; ensures timely, accurate patient care.
• Directs Charge Nurses, RNs, LVNs, and MHTs in unit milieu management.
• Intervenes in psychiatric and medical crisis situations; maintains professional demeanor.
