Saint Alphonsus in Boise is seeking a PRN RN for the SPAR/PACU department at our Regional Medical Center. The position involves caring for patients across age groups, documenting care, administering medications, and coordinating with the care team.

We offer a part-time, day-shift role with potential weekend/holiday call. Licensure as an RN is required with Idaho residency within 60 days, BLS, ACLS/PALS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• Multistate Idaho residency within 60 days from hire.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS.
• ACLS or PALS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Care for Neonate, Pediatric, Adult and Geriatric patients across assigned age groups.
• Document services and supplies accurately for each patient.
• Demonstrate compliance with hospital safety policies and procedures.
• Perform and document comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments.
• Educate patients based on assessments; develop, implement and evaluate care plans.
• Communicate patient status and plan of care to other caregivers (verbal and written).
• Prepare, administer and evaluate the effectiveness of medications.
• Demonstrate safe operation of patient care equipment.
• Establish therapeutic and professional boundaries.
• Integrate knowledge and hospital policies into nursing practice.
• Meet unit-specific technical skills.
• Comply with Idaho State Board of Nursing rules.
