Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover, OH is seeking a PRN RN for Same Day Surgery. You will provide direct nursing care, monitor patients, and support discharge planning to ensure a smooth postoperative experience. The role includes variable days with shifts 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, totaling 36 hours per 6-week schedule.

Qualifications

• RN with current state licensure
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• ACLS certification within 1 year of hire
• External applicants: 2 years of related nursing experience
• Internal applicants: variable with review and approval

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patients' conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Coordinate discharge needs and educate patients and families.
• Perform chart audits and ensure unit readiness.
• Support readiness for procedures and maintain patient comfort.
