Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio is seeking a PRN RN on the Same Day Surgery team to provide direct nursing care, implement and update care plans, and coordinate patient flow for procedures.

You will monitor patients, administer medications, perform chart audits, and educate patients and families, with shifts 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, approximately 36 hours every six weeks.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within one year of hire
• External applicants: two years of recent related nursing experience
• Internal applicants with less than two years may be considered with review
• Military RN experience considered

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
