Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for PreOp/PACU on a PRN pool in Edwards, CO. You will provide compassionate nursing care, triage patient needs, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

The role requires a CO RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and at least one year of clinical experience, plus strong English skills and HIPAA compliance. Computer skills for online training and benefits enrollment are expected.

Qualifications

• One-year clinical experience required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Colorado or a valid compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
• Must have computer skills to complete online learning and benefits enrollment.
• Must have working knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking).

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily patient flow to optimize care, safety and satisfaction.
• Triage incoming patient requests for services.
• Deliver patient education to facilitate plan of care and informed choices.
• Delegate care appropriately according to Colorado statutes.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and other teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures per safety guidelines.
• Provide excellent service through Relationship-Based Care and patient advocacy.
