Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for a PRN Day shift (7:00 am – 7:00 pm). You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team, using established nursing models and evidence-based practices to ensure safe and compassionate outcomes.

The role requires a nursing degree, Texas RN license (or compact), BLS and ACLS within 6 months, and preferred acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Associate's Degree required; BSN within 24 months of hire.
• Current RN license in TX or compact license.
• BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association).
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes promptly.
• Administer medications, monitor therapeutic response, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide prompt, compassionate care and respond to patient requests.
• Educate patients and families about condition, plan, medications, and follow-up.

Education

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)
