Eventide Prairie Commons in Grand Island, NE is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Direct Care team. The role requires at least 24 hours per month, with 16 on weekends and one holiday rotation per year.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with RN/LPN licensure in good standing, CPR, and a willingness to follow physician orders and care plans. We offer competitive pay and shift premiums based on qualifications and location.

Qualifications

• At least age 18.
• RN or LPN course completion; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months RN/LPN experience preferred.
• RN/LPN license in good standing; CPR required; licenses updated per policy.
• Vaccination requirements must be met.
• Follows physician's orders per Eventide policies.
• Administers and supervises medications and treatments as ordered.
• Assesses physical, mental and psychosocial status; reports changes promptly.
• Monitors skin care to prevent ulcers.
• Documents care accurately and timely.
• Supervises Med Aides delivering medications.
• Educates patients for self-administration of medications.
• Assists in writing and updating nursing plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per standards and Eventide policies.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assess patients’ physical, mental and psychosocial status; report changes.
• Monitor vital signs and skin integrity; prevent ulcers.
• Document care timely and accurately in medical records.
• Supervise Med Aides and ensure medication delivery.
• Educate patients and caregivers on medication self-administration.
• Develop and update comprehensive nursing care plans.
