Job summary

Campbell Street is seeking an RN to join as a PRN night-shift provider (6pm–6am). You will oversee resident health, implement care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with a compassionate team.

This role emphasizes leadership in supervising CNAs and LPNs, ensuring compliance and quality care in a facility dedicated to growth and patient well-being. The duties include comprehensive assessments, care plan development, and responsive emergency handling, with a benefits-focused workplace

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Iowa.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or must be obtained upon hire).
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric care; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee residents' health and implement care plans.
• Monitor health status, document changes, and inform physicians.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders.
• Provide wound care and IV therapy as needed.
• Supervise CNAs and LPNs; support staff training.

Overview: As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will be responsible for overseeing the health and well-being of residents, implementing care plans, and providing expert nursing care in a facility that values compassion, transparency, and a collaborative work environment. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Resident Care & Assessment:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of residents' health status, including physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents based on their health needs and goals.
  • Monitor residents' health conditions, document changes, and communicate significant findings to the physician and other members of the care team.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with medical orders.
  • Provide wound care, IV therapy, and other advanced medical treatments as required.
  • Perform routine medical procedures (such as taking vitals, administering injections, and dressing wounds) in accordance with care protocols.
• Supervisory & Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support the nursing staff, including CNAs and LPNs, ensuring that all care duties are carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide guidance and training for nursing staff to ensure compliance with facility protocols and high standards of care.
  • Participate in staff meetings and collaborate with the leadership team to maintain optimal resident care.
• Communication & Collaboration:
  • Effectively communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team to ensure clear, accurate, and timely updates on patient conditions.
  • Educate residents and their families on care plans, treatment options, and preventative health measures.
  • Work closely with physicians, dietitians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and enhance the resident experience.
• Documentation & Compliance:
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and documentation for each resident in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and all state and federal regulations regarding patient care and safety.
  • Participate in regular care audits and review processes to ensure quality improvement.
• Emergency Response & Crisis Management:
  • Respond to medical emergencies promptly and effectively, ensuring that residents receive the appropriate emergency care and intervention.
  • Provide immediate interventions and stabilize residents in critical situations, following established protocols.
