Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for Racine County Jail in Racine, Wisconsin. The RN provides quality care within scope and ensures a safe environment while supporting a correctional health program.

The role includes administering medications, monitoring patients, documenting records, coordinating with the healthcare team, and patient education. Schedule covers PRN days & nights with competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or have graduated from an approved RN program.
Must possess a current RN license in the state of Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions and side effects.
Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' condition.
Coordinate with healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
Modify treatment plans as indicated by patient responses.
Supervise less-skilled staff or units as needed.
Prepare patients for examinations or treatments.
Educate patients and families on health topics and health improvement programs.
Prepare rooms, instruments, equipment, and stock supplies.
