Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital in Charleston, SC is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist on a PRN, as-needed basis. You will guide patients through routine and critical care, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with invasive and noninvasive ventilation across care settings.

You will work with advanced respiratory technology, receive mentorship from RT leaders, and support a collaborative team focused on professional growth and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date.
• Neonate Resuscitation within 1 year of start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and determine need for interventions.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen, medications, and airway clearance techniques.
• Manage ventilation and airway support across emergency, critical care, and acute settings.
• Educate patients and families and collaborate with physicians and nurses to stabilize patients.
• Maintain and operate respiratory equipment ensuring infection-control standards.

Education

Associate Degree

NBRC-CRT / RRT or State Certification
