Job summary

HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) PRN to join a multidisciplinary team. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage ventilation, and support patients across care settings with advanced respiratory technology and expert mentorship.

You will provide bedside care, educate families, and collaborate with physicians and nurses while maintaining equipment and infection prevention standards.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications obtained within specified timeframes.
• RRT/RCP credential required for Respiratory Therapist practice.
• Associate degree or vocational training completed to qualify for the role.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and plan care for routine and critical care patients.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen, meds, airway clearance techniques.
• Manage ventilation and airway support, including invasive/noninvasive strategies.
• Educate patients and families, collaborate with physicians and nursing teams.
• Maintain equipment and ensure infection prevention standards.
