Job summary

Banner Churchill Community Hospital in Fallon, NV, seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (PRN) to provide comprehensive respiratory care and diagnostic testing. You will operate ventilators, perform assessments, and contribute to patient care plans across diverse health settings.

The role requires NBRC RRT certification, an active state license, and at least one year of acute care experience. BLS is required, and a valid driver license may be needed for home care coverage.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree required.
• NBRC RRT certification required; RRT must be obtained by the specified deadlines.
• Current license in the state practiced; Nevada Blood Gas Technologist certification preferred.
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience; BLS required and driving eligibility.
• Knowledge of clinical techniques and equipment; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and diagnostic testing as prescribed by physicians.
• Operate and manage ventilators; adjust settings to improve patient condition.
• Assemble, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and circuitry.
• Perform pulmonary and cardiology testing per department policies.
• Assess patients, document care, and modify therapy as needed.
• Collaborate with care team to develop and adjust treatment plans.
• May supervise department staff as needed.
