Job summary

Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital in Elko, NV is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) for a PRN, as-needed role within the Respiratory Therapy team. The successful candidate will assess and treat patients with breathing-related conditions, perform diagnostic testing, and collaborate with physicians on treatment plans.

Required are a state CRT or RRT license and an associate degree in respiratory therapy, with BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications to be completed within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current CRT or RRT license required.
• Associate degree from an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on therapies and medications and conduct physiotherapy.
• Measure lung capacity and analyze blood gases; perform bedside PFTs and EKGs as ordered.
• Deliver prescribed respiratory therapies and monitor patient response.
• Respond to codes and emergencies with appropriate interventions.
• Maintain equipment readiness and participate in quality improvement.
