Job summary

River of Life Care Center in Memphis, TN is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist (RT) to provide clinical direction and respiratory services within a faith-based skilled nursing community. The role supports post-acute rehabilitation and long-term care, under management direction.

The position requires an AMA-approved education pathway with CRT/RRT credentials, a valid state license, CPR certification, and preferably vent experience.

Qualifications

• CRT or RRT license and AMA-approved respiratory care program.
• Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the employing state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ventilation certification preferred.
• One year of respiratory therapy experience in a long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care services per prescribed orders and patient needs.
• Document treatments, responses, and pertinent information in medical records.
• Maintain and sterilize respiratory equipment and supplies as required.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to coordinate patient care.
• Assess patients’ respiratory status, oxygen needs, and ventilator management.
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and care teams.
