Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited school.
• Graduate of a respiratory care program.
• Bachelor of Science in health care (preferred).
• Minimum 1 year respiratory experience in acute/subacute unit (preferred).
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license (state where practiced).
• CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory/pulmonary therapy, management, rehabilitation, diagnostic evaluation, and direct care.
• Follow supervisor schedules and facility policies and procedures.
• Assess patient status and document diagnoses and data.
• Plan outcomes of care and intervene according to priorities.
• Maintain safety, infection control, and patient privacy standards.
