HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast in Pasadena, TX seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide bedside respiratory care across emergency, critical care and acute settings. The RT will assess status, deliver therapies, manage ventilation, educate families, and maintain equipment while following infection-control standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and nurses, with opportunities for professional growth and stable scheduling within a large health system.

Formación

• ACLS required within 6 months of employment start date.
• BCLS required within 30 days of employment start date.
• NRP required within 6 months of employment start date.
• PALS required within 6 months of employment start date.
• RRT/RCP-State Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner credential.
• NBRC-RRT credential.
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Respiratory Therapy.

Responsabilidades

• Assess respiratory status by focused exams, breath sounds, airway patency and intervention needs.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy: oxygen, aerosols, airway clearance techniques and other treatments across care settings.
• Manage ventilation and airway: invasive/noninvasive ventilation, monitor responses, respond to changes.
• Educate patients and families; partner with physicians and nurses; assist with newborn stabilization when needed.
• Maintain equipment and safety: set up/operate/clean equipment; ensure readiness; infection prevention standards.
