Qualifications

• ACLS within 6 months of start date
• BCLS within 30 days of start date
• Neonatal Resuscitation within 6 months of start date
• PALS within 6 months of start date
• National Registry Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT)
• Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner licensure (state)
• High school diploma or GED
• Associate/Bachelor degree or certificate in a related field

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and perform focused exams with interpretation of breath sounds.
• Deliver oxygen, aerosolized meds, airway clearance techniques, and other therapies.
• Manage ventilation and airway support including invasive and noninvasive modes.
• Educate patients and families, collaborate with physicians and nurses, and support newborn stabilization when needed.
• Maintain and clean equipment; ensure readiness and adherence to infection-prevention standards.
