Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist in Quitman, TX to provide technical and clinical respiratory care across the hospital and maintain high professional standards. You will support ventilatory care, oxygen delivery, and related modalities for patient care.

The role requires an Associate's degree and BLS certification; Texas state certification is preferred upon hire. You will participate in in-service education and collaborate with the care team to ensure quality

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Active Texas state certification upon hire is preferred; recertification upon expiration

Responsibilities

• Providing technical and clinical support of respiratory care services throughout the hospital.
• Keeping current with new developments in the field of respiratory care.
• Evaluating and making recommendations for services.
• Demonstrating proficiency in respiratory care modalities including invasive/non-invasive ventilatory care, aerosolized meds, oxygen delivery, postural drainage, pulse oximetry, and bedside pulmonary function testing.
