Job summary

Baptist Health in Prattville is seeking a Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist for PRN shifts. The therapist will provide care for patients of all ages, performing routine and advanced respiratory procedures and coordinating with physicians and the respiratory team to monitor progress.

The role requires a degree in respiratory therapy, active licensure (ASBRT LRT, NBRC RRT), and BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on the department.

Qualifications

• Degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• Active ASBRT LRT and NBRC RRT licensure required; BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on area.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under rigid time constraints.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and assist patient transport.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties involved with treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with deficiencies within the Pulmonary system.
• Perform routine and complex respiratory care procedures for patients of all ages.
• Communicate with physician and respiratory team on patient progress within the care plan; make recommendations regarding patient progress.
• Other duties within scope of the role as assigned.
