Job summary

Sheppard Pratt is hiring for a direct care residential counselor assistant role in Baltimore. You will help clients learn or regain skills for independent living in a safe environment and support overall well-being under supervision.

Responsibilities include ensuring medication safety, working with a collaborative team to create service plans, providing transportation to appointments, and advocating for clients with proper documentation of follow-up actions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Active, non-provisional driver’s license with 3 points or less.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Willingness to obtain additional certifications and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Act as a residential counselor assistant and work with clients to learn or regain skills for independent living and socialization.
• Assist in ensuring medication compliance with safety, dosage, and cleanliness responsibilities.
• Collaborate with a service team to develop and implement individual service plans.
• Provide transportation and attend clients’ medical appointments; advocate and document follow-up instructions.
