Job summary

Providence Swedish Rehabilitation Hospital in Lynnwood, WA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for PRN shifts. The role supports basic patient care under nursing supervision, including bathing, mobility, vitals, and daily living activities, with attention to safety and comfort.

Requires LPN education, Nursing Assistant certification, and CPR/BCLS. Minimum six months in acute or long-term care preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited licensed practical/vocational nurse program and current state licensure as Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.
• CPR/BCLS certification required.
• License: Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• Minimum six months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
• Provide general nursing support such as positioning, lifting, turning, and using special equipment.
• Assist with toileting needs using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation to the bathroom.
• Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake/output measurements accurately and document in a timely manner.
• Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer, ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment with attention to ventilation and lighting.
• Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including handling of patient belongings.
• Answer patient call lights, phones, and pages, responding promptly and appropriately.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
