Job summary

Texas Health Resources' Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic in Bedford, TX is seeking a PRN Registered Vascular Technician. You will perform vascular studies, follow ICAVL guidelines, and support physicians in a fast-paced clinic while providing compassionate patient care.

This role requires an associate degree (preferred), RVT or RVS certification (upon hire), 1 year vascular lab experience, and strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree related field preferred.
• Graduate of Accredited Ultrasound Technology Program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year related experience in a vascular laboratory.
• RVT or RVS certification upon hire required.
• ACLS or BCLS certification upon hire; BCLS required.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac/pulmonary anatomy and vascular anatomy.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Registered Vascular Technician process.
• Performs diagnostic carotid arterial and venous studies of upper and lower extremities; venous studies for PAD per ICAVL guidelines.
• Prepares and maintains operation logs; calibrates equipment; orders supplies as needed.
• Explains procedures to patients and communicates changes in condition with physicians and staff.
• Performs other duties; conducts vascular lab studies per protocols.
• Maintains vascular lab QA database; reviews results with interpreting physician.
