Job summary

Mercy Health in Lorain, OH, is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician for an outpatient, PRN position. The role covers meds-to-beds and retail-like service within a hospital setting, with M-F 830am-5pm hours (lunch break) and holidays observed.

You will assist patients, verify prescriptions, and support pharmacists in daily operations. The ideal candidate holds an active Registered Pharmacy Technician license, a valid driver’s license, and prior experience in Retail/Outpatient/Hospital

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Active Registered Pharmacy Technician license in state.
• Valid state driver's license required.
• Experience in Retail/Outpatient/Hospital pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and process prescriptions accurately.
• Educate patients on medication use and safety.
• Support pharmacist with daily pharmacy operations.
• Maintain inventory and comply with infection-control protocols.
• Adhere to relevant guidelines and complete audits as needed.
• Handle financial transactions and customer service duties.
