Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) for the Fairfield Outpatient Pharmacy. This PRN position supports pharmacists, handles prescriptions, assists with inventory, and maintains records with accuracy and care.

You will educate patients, follow infection-control policies, and work as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care. A valid ExCPT and State Board registration are required.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Valid ExCPT certification and State Board registration required.
• Experience in retail, ambulatory, or hospital pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and verifying the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions
• Reviewing and recording patient information with their prescription in compliance with guidelines
• Providing instructions to educate people on the correct way to take their medicine
• Supporting the Pharmacist in the daily operation of the pharmacy
• Protecting employees and patients by adhering to infection-control protocols and policies
