Job summary

Key West Surgery Center seeks a Registered Nurse (PRN) to provide patient-centered care across perioperative and acute settings in Key West, FL. You will assess patients, administer medications, assist surgeons, and respond to emergencies while maintaining a supportive environment for patients and families.

The RN will collaborate with physicians and care teams, ensure adherence to clinical protocols, and educate patients on post-discharge care.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing (State Licensure)
• BCLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS preferred
• Experience in acute care settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures and provide post-procedure care.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in CPR and code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans.
• Maintain infection control protocols and safety standards.
