Job summary

Key West Surgery Center seeks a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered PACU/Pre-Op care and perioperative coordination. You will work with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to monitor patients, administer medications, and ensure safe, compassionate care before and after procedures.

The role requires 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience, Florida RN licensure, and BCLS; ACLS/PALS are preferred. Competitive benefits, PTO, and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN licensure required.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with organizational policies, protocols, and the nursing process.
• Administers prescribed medications, monitors for side effects, and documents administration in accordance with standards of practice.
• Assists physicians during procedures within the scope of documented competency and skill level.
• Educates patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Monitors and operates medical equipment as needed for patient safety and care delivery.
• Maintains infection control practices and ensures a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.
• Documents patient care thoroughly in the medical record and participates in audits and quality initiatives.
