Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking Registered Nurses (PRN) to provide high-quality care in an institutional setting. The role focuses on nursing care for inmates/residents and coordination with physicians during sick calls and emergencies.

Candidates must have a nursing degree or diploma, valid licensure in the state, and at least 18 years old. A driver's license is required, with one year of nursing experience preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited college, university or nursing program with a degree/diploma in nursing.
• Must possess current licensure in the state of employment.
• One (1) year of professional nursing experience preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to inmates/residents.
• Attend sick calls with the physician and prepare lists and room setup.
• Examine and assess inmates/residents with illnesses or injuries; refer to emergency or other facilities as needed.
• Perform emergency procedures as needed and notify the provider for treatment orders.
• Provide guidance, supervise and monitor nursing care provided by licensed and non-licensed medical staff.
