Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Park, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN shifts. The role requires conducting comprehensive patient assessments, developing and evaluating care plans, administering medications, and educating patients and families.

You will collaborate with the care team to ensure coordinated, high-quality outcomes and maintain accurate documentation. Expect weekends and weekdays as needed in a PRN schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required (state RN license).
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1+ year in acute care hospital setting preferred.
• RN license required and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, evaluating and revising as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders, monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff and departments to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient information, care activities, and outcomes.
