Responsibilities

• Provide holistic RN nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assess physical, psychological, and social dimensions; obtain health history and document admission.
• Document and communicate triage decisions to health care providers during custody and discharge.
• Develop individualized nursing care plans with providers.
• Implement medical care plans including diagnostics and EKGs as ordered.
• Administer medications using proper techniques and routes; coordinate nutrition and therapeutic diets.
• Assist physician in minor procedures.
