Job summary

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using communication and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family education process.
• Communicates with the team, patients and families and verifies understanding of information.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
• Administers medications and IV therapy safely, accurately, and timely.
• Takes responsibility for personal performance and professional growth.
• Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care across the care episode.
