Job summary

Universal Health Services operates Cedar Springs Hospital and is seeking a receptionist to manage all incoming calls and provide basic clerical support across the facility. The role includes visitor badge processing, admission paperwork, mail handling, and vehicle release for staff transport.

Coverage for day, evening, and weekend shifts is needed to support core reception coverage. Qualified candidates will have strong phone etiquette, be able to type 50 wpm, and handle confidential information

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• 1 year of phone skills experience preferred.
• Excellent phone etiquette and multi-line phone handling.
• Knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel and general office equipment.
• Strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal and confidentiality skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls on a multi-line system with courtesy and professionalism.
• Assist with visitor badge creation for campus access.
• Help with initial admission paperwork and processing.
• Handle daily incoming and outgoing mail.
• Release company vehicles to employees for transportation as needed.
• Support Temperature Check station coverage.
• Assist with emergency codes and responses as required.

Responsibilities

About the Position: This position is responsible for all incoming calls to the facility while providing basic clerical support to the employees. Will assist with getting visitor badges for anyone needing to be on campus. Will help with initial admission paperwork. Will take care of daily incoming and outgoing mail. Assist with releasing company vehicles to employees for general transportation and transports. Assist with Temperature Check station coverage. Facilitates appropriate responses to emergency codes. We are looking for someone who has a great deal of flexibility. We need coverage for day, evening and weekend shifts when our core receptionists need time off.

Qualifications

Requirements: Excellent phone etiquette and ability to handle a multi-line phone system. Typing 50 wpm with knowledge of grammar, punctuation and spelling. Knowledge of general office equipment. Requires organizational, verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills, the ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions. Working knowledge of software programs such as Windows, Word, Excel, etc. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Required: High School Diploma, 1 Year of Customer Service, 1 Year of Phone Skills

Preferred: Previous experience working in a healthcare setting
