Job summary

Utah Valley Hospital, part of Intermountain Healthcare, seeks an experienced Radiologic Technologist for PRN support across multiple imaging settings. You will perform diagnostic radiographic exams, assist in fluoroscopy and OR cases, and collaborate with radiologists and nurses to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

You may float to different departments as staffing requires. The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure if applicable, and BLS.

Qualifications

  • Radiologic technologist license in state of practice (if applicable).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • May need MA Competency Checklist and MA duties in clinic/InstaCare.

Responsibilities

Job Description:Utah Valley Hospital is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our PRN team. This position supports a variety of clinical areas throughout the hospital and is ideal for a caregiver who enjoys a dynamic environment, diverse patient populations, and utilizing a broad range of radiology skills.Posting DetailsPRN position at Utah Valley HospitalMust work a minimum of one shift per pay periodParticipation in the department's on-call rotation is requiredCaregivers will float throughout the hospital and imaging department based on staffing and patient care needsAbout This RolePerform diagnostic radiographic exams across a variety of patient care settings, including emergency, inpatient, outpatient, surgical, and procedural environmentsSupport fluoroscopy, operating room cases, and minor proceduresCollaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other caregivers to provide safe, high-quality patient careDeliver an exceptional patient experience while producing quality diagnostic imagesAdapt to changing patient volumes, staffing needs, and clinical priorities throughout the hospitalMinimum QualificationsAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) certificationRadiologic technologist license in state of practice (if applicable)Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providersMay be required to complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist and perform the function of an MA in a clinic or InstaCare setting.Preferred QualificationsExperience with fluoroscopy, operating room imaging, and minor proceduresExperience working in a hospital-based radiology departmentAbility to work independently and adapt to a variety of clinical settingsComfortable floating across multiple clinical areas and patient populationsStrong communication, teamwork, and patient care skillsIV CertificationPhysical RequirementsOngoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
