Qualifications

  • Minimum two years’ experience as a Radiology Technologist in a hospital or ER setting.
  • ARRT Certification and CPR/BLS Certification required.

  • Perform diagnostic tests using x-ray and CT equipment according to protocol.
  • Produce quality images and upload for radiology interpretation.

Job description

Join to apply for the PRN - Radiology Technologist - Nights role at Ally Medical.

Assists physicians and registered nurses with basic patient care based on individual needs, within the scope of practice, under direct supervision of the Nurse Director. Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) and CT scans for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide supportive care to patients under the direction of the registered nurse in charge and/or physician.
  2. Perform patient skills such as measuring height and weight, vital signs, IV initiation, blood draws, and documenting as needed.
  3. Perform diagnostic tests using x-ray and CT equipment according to protocol, upon physician’s orders.
  4. Produce quality images and upload for radiology interpretation.
  5. Apply proper techniques during diagnostic testing and lab procedures.
  6. Report lab and radiology results immediately to the nurse and/or physician.
  7. Assist with assessments, examinations, and treatments.
  8. Perform additional duties such as crutch walking, dressing changes, and assisting with splint or cast application.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Knowledge of current x-ray technology trends and techniques.
  • Ability to learn quality control procedures, operate computerized radiologic equipment, and use computers for recordkeeping.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Associate degree in Applied Science or equivalent with radiology certification from an accredited school.
  • Minimum two years’ experience as a Radiology Technologist in a hospital or ER setting.
  • ARRT Certification and CPR/BLS Certification required.
  • Current license from the Texas Department of State Health Service.
Physical and Additional Requirements
  • Prolonged standing, reaching, and bending.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical strength and agility for patient positioning.
  • Compliance with privacy, security laws, and internal policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all company and customer data.
  • Attend annual security training and report any data or system breaches.
