**Responsibilities**

  1. Lead the daily operations of assigned department's services.
  2. Ensure quality image, patient care and work flow. Monitors patient documentation for timely completion and accuracy.
  3. Oversee quality control testing, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  4. Serve as a resource to department staff as well as other team members as needed.
  5. Perform staff orientation, training, and coaching. Provide input to staff performance evaluations.
  6. Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  7. Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
  8. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
  9. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage, and other areas.

**Requirements**

  • Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire or transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in General Practice credentialed from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program obtained prior to hire or transfer.
  • One or more of the following:
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the ARRT prior to hire or transfer. Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty also accepted.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the ARRT prior to hire or transfer.
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the NMTCB prior to hire or transfer. NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(CT) certification required in addition to CNMT.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of experience OR Associate's/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable experience.
