Job summary

Medical Center Enterprise in Alabama seeks a Radiology Technologist II (Rad Tech) for PRN coverage. You will perform advanced diagnostic imaging, operate and maintain equipment, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality images.

Education to patients and staff is part of the role, with a focus on safety and accuracy. The position requires ARRT certification, state licensure as applicable, and BCLS within 30 days of hire; ACLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist required.
• ARRT certification required.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state.
• BCLS required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiographic/x-ray equipment to produce high-quality imaging.
• Educates patients and families about pre-, during-, and post-procedure steps.
• Provides in-service training on radiology equipment and radiation safety.
• Performs invasive imaging procedures as assigned with safety compliance.
• Monitors vital signs during procedures and relays information to medical staff.
• Maintains accurate patient records and documentation of charges.
• Ensures proper paperwork is signed, dated, and timed by physicians.
• Checks radiology equipment before use for safety and function.
• Acts as a team resource, guiding and delegating as needed.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
